Marian Sacred Art

The Marian Studio is open to artists who feel drawn to produce Marian art. This space exists to gather, support, and present visual expressions that arise from love for Our Blessed Mother and a desire to honor her through reverent sacred art—Our mission is to foster Marian spirituality.
“Marian art grows from prayer, faith, and the work of both heart and hands. Within the tradition of sacred art, the Blessed Virgin Mary is often depicted not with grandeur, but with tenderness, often portrayed in moments of grace that reveal her beauty, her humility, and her maternal presence. The making of Marian art becomes a way of entering into this living tradition, where beauty serves devotion and faith finds visual expression. Sacred art is not merely made; it is received. For many artists, painting the Virgin Mary is an act of listening, shaped by prayer, patience, and trust.” —Mariella Zevallos

“My journey with Marian art has unfolded slowly, through prayer and meditation. Over time, my devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary has deepened, and with it, a humble growing desire to portray images of Our Lady.” “Before beginning each painting, I pause to pray a Marian prayer, entrusting the work to Our Lady and asking the Holy Spirit to guide me. This moment of prayer helps quiet the mind and open the heart, inviting grace to inspire every movement of the hands and every decision. In this way, the act of painting becomes not only artistic expression, but also a prayer—offered with humility, seeking to reflect beauty, faith, and the presence of God through art.”—Mariella Zevallos
